Changes to Carmarthenshire Fostering Allowances
I confirm that we are providing an update on the fostering allowance rates for Carmarthenshire following the recent guidance from the Welsh Assembly Government on maintenance allowances for April 2018-2019. These rates will be effective from 15th April 2018.
These rates will ensure that all Carmarthenshire foster carers (friends & family and mainstream) are receiving an allowance in line with the Welsh Government recommended allowance relating to 2018-2019.
We have reviewed our rates and the age bands for the children will now fall in line with Welsh Government and this will be across 3 age band categories.
